bonsai is...bleeding?
2008/05/23 17:35 The leaves of my (i think it's a) ficus were yellowing, and i noticed a dark spot on the trunk, next to a little ceramic figure i have in there for decoration. When i moved the figure, it had red stuff on it, and when i touched the dark spot, my finger came back red too. Perhaps it's just the sap, but I don't know how it would have gotten scratched or punctured.
i repotted it yesterday; there were not many roots, even though it's been in one pot for a long time. Have not watered it yet because i read that overwatering easily kills a ficus tree. About a week ago, the trunk had gotten shriveled from (i assume) lack of water, but it had since plumped back up. It's not looking any better; I'd greatly appreciate help, because I love that tree...
